Emily grew up in a town a little north of Agate Village, (Fairy-red-hime can name it if she wants to), and visited there often growing up, so she has lear how to battle fairly well from all the retired trainers, who love seeing the grandchildren grow up.
She found a poochyena pup in the forest when she was about 8, it was injured so she carried it home and took care of him, and eventually took him as her first pokemon.
When she was 11, her mother got a fairly normal job in Hoenn, as a teacher(music teacher). Her father welcomed the idea, as he worked on a news report that needed someone situated in Hoenn(meaning more money).
Hoenn was alot colder than she was used to, and what she thought it would be.
The following year she got bored of living in Rustboro City, so she decided to travel around and see if she want to battle the gyms or become a co-ordinator.
Currently she has not decided.
